Software

The heart of BIAM: All of our manufacturing expertise and a lot of creativity both go into our in-house developed software.

Digitized know-how

We are pretty proud of the software used in our printer. We developed it ourselves and are constantly evolving it further. This software contains nothing less than the entire Bosch manufacturing expertise - compressed into bits and bytes and made accessible to you as a product.

Pellets

Read correctly: As a BIAM customer, you do not print with filament, but with pellets. This results in several advantages at once.

Conventional, but sustainable

If you want to print easier, cheaper, and more sustainable, you print with pellets. We are convinced that pellets are superior to the more commonly used filament in many respects when it comes to 3D printing on an industrial level. That's why we have also opted for pellets as a printing material - and are already researching a resource-saving closed-loop system.

Ready for action: Strictly speaking, our printer is not a product at all. It's the vehicle that gets your manufacturing idea on the road.

Means to an end

Don't worry, we don't want to sell you a metal box that will end up just sitting uselessly in your production hall. That's why our printer is only an ordinary piece of hardware at first glance. At a second glance, you'll see the complex know-how that went into its development. And wait until you launch the intuitive software for the first time!

Printing with pellets

Unlike many others, we already print with conventional, but sustainable, plastic pellets today.

New extrusion process

Our in-house developed extrusion process enables printing with plastic pellets with additional fillers.

Free material selection

The number of materials and software features available for our printer is constantly increasing - making trial and error fun!

Software and know-how

Instead of selling hardware, we at BIAM prefer to focus on our software and manufacturing expertise.

Made in-house: the new Julius Baer Pole Position Trophy for Formula E.

Gladly. The Julius Baer Pole Position Trophy for the current 2022 Formula E season impressively demonstrates that our vision of combining 3D printing and injection molding into a completely new form of manufacturing works and will also be applicable on an industrial scale in the future. The filigree shell of the Trophy was created in the 3D printer, while the filling is solid and made from a single casting.
